The story of ONE MOTO and where 2021 sees our expansion.

I’m Adam Ridgway, the CEO and founder of ONE MOTO, has spent 22 years on two-wheels and the past 12 of those in the UAE. With a fondness of riding I am a passionate advocate for safe riding and sustainability and dedicated to build a legacy of sustainability with ONE MOTO.

THE BRIEF. Designed in the UAE, a brand of electric vehicles, created and developed for inner-city commuters and the delivery community.

We are producing ONE MOTO Electric Vehicles exclusively and contracts are in place for further R&D and products.

THE VISION. The business has been built on five core values: Environment, Convenience, Technology, Affordability and Experience

THE NEED. The market and governments are on a quest for advanced electric vehicles, we listened and developed ONE MOTO. The next 10 years are going to be huge for EVs and ONE MOTO are at the forefront of design, integration (hardware and software).

No one has focused on building a vehicle for the delivery market, we’ve designed and built “byka”, With the research showing the food delivery market in the UAE has risen from $50m to $200m in the past 4.5 years this increases the demand and supply for vehicles to deliver these vast volumes.

We truly believe that with the right support, belief and a little luck we will be able to completely eradicate the need for petrol delivery vehicles in the UAE within three years, and across the MENA/APAC in five years.

The worldwide market for Electric Motorcycle is expected to grow at a CAGR of roughly 4.6% over the next five years, will reach 6980 million US$ in 2024, from 5330 million US$ in 2019, according to a new research study.

Tell us about the process of creating your product.

I come from a branding, design and media background, so my career has been developing brands and products for others, then three years ago we decided to delve “all in” to designing a fleet of electric vehicles.

It has been a great journey working with experts in industry, changing and evolving the initial concept to the needs of the delivery sector.

We’ve worked with approximately 20 factories, to partner with our final decision, they produce the vehicles exclusively for ONE MOTO and the production team work within a ‘white coat’ environment. The attention to detail and brand values are at the core of our operation.

Final Thoughts

If you are wanting to do something big, to change your game and that of those around you, start. Everyone else can be talking about it, but few will get on and do. The EV world is flush with conferences, summits and exhibitions, all saying amazing things. We’ve decided to not be a part of these discussions and get working – thats why we’ve been first to market and have the traction we’ve accumulated en route.
