What is the maximum speed of the Deliva?

Deliva has been rated to a maximum speed of 85kmh but through real world testing, we have found that it is possible to reach speeds of up to 95kmh depending on weight, road conditions and wind speed.

What is the expected range of the Deliva on a single charge?

This depends on a variety of factors. While the Deliva has a range of up to 200km on a single charge, factors such as driving styles, payload weight and routes can affect the range. Unlike typical petrol powered vans, driving within the city can actually increase the range since the driver would be travelling at slower speeds than on highways and there is also scope for the regenerative braking capabilities of the vehicle to feed some energy back to the batteries during braking or deceleration.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

It typically takes 5-6 hours to charge the battery pack from 0% to 100%. The battery pack has been designed to charge upto 70% in 1 hour and trickle charge to 100% over the next 3-4 hours to preserve battery life and prevent degradation.

How/Where can the batteries be charged?

Deliva can be charged at any public AC charging stations. Alternatively, a 7kW charger can be purchased separately from us which can be installed at any location (subject to approvals from regulatory authorities where necessary) by one of our partners.

What is the maximum permissible cargo volume for the Deliva?

Deliva has a payload capacity of 1000kg and a useable storage volume of 5.2CBM

How often would the Deliva need to be serviced?

Like any other electric vehicle, the number of moving parts in the Deliva are far less than in a conventional petrol powered cargo van. This means that servicing/maintenance would only be required for the “consumables” such as brakes, fluids and tyres depending on how often the vehicle is used. A suspension tune-up would also be advisable along with these depending on the road conditions that the vehicle operates in.

Can the Deliva be washed?

Absolutely. The main components such as the motor and battery are designed to withstand light sprays and rain. However, it is advisable not to use pressure washers/jets directly onto the motor and battery. If the battery connector terminals do get wet, it is advisable to dry it out completely before connecting the charger to prevent any instances of shorting.

Can the Deliva be used during rain?

Yes. The main components such as the motor and battery are designed to withstand light sprays and rain. However, if the water levels reach higher than the base of the vehicle, it is best not to continue driving and park the vehicle in a safe spot since water seeping into the internal components of the motor could severely damage it.
